When vanity is clearly not an option.......... crank up the contrast!
Well hello again. I can hear the audible groans now as mobloggers around the world sigh.
Its been 5 years, can you believe it ? since mad Nige got some of us to join him in a daily self portrait, alledgedly for a whole 365 days. So I thought it would be interesting to compare/contrast ( just like an english essay) then and now.
I'm not going to make any grand promises about sticking it out to the end and I'm already wondering whether this is a daft thing to do, but alot has happened in the last five years.
I originally started this along with nige and a few others back in June 2007 and as I discovered it would prove much more difficult than I had anticipated. I enjoyed it all very much and I think at the time my portrait photography got better.

Finding it hard to keep up with moblog at the moment, kids are now back to school etc etc etc and am incredibly tired.
Couldnt see the reflection in the bottom of the shot (car door) till I put it on the screen, but like the effect

This was taken in the mirror which surrounds the roof of the dogems at southend adventure island, it was a ctually quite a difficult shot to get.

Last day of the holidays so took the kids to the maize maze not far away. We had a great time although apparently there is an even better time anticipated on sunday when they BBq, get slightly tanked and beat the corn!!!!!!!!! its the end of the maze :-( at £25.00 a ticket ..........not this year for us, but a possibility another year, though squiffy adults with torches in a maze.................

I always remember going to the pictures in the 70's and this was one of the adverts. I always wanted to be able to sing the words, but never knew them well enough (or so I thought) and the only bit any one ever got out -so to speak was the last word 'Pepsi'
Very rarely drink fizzy drinks, but this was all on offer at the football tournament, should have taken water with me!

I quie like september, as months go. I suppose I should be stressed as its a time when the children go back to school and the circus starts all over again for another year, but I find this month quite laid back really, sort of acceptance, that summer never came, I never got round to doing even half the things I had promised myself ,or anyone else. Finally I accept that another year is on its way out, cos lets face it another month and the shops will be stocking christmas decorations, the leaves will be waiting till the very last minute to fall (Global warming) .
When I was a kid time went sooooooooooo slllllllllllooooooooowwwwwwlllllyyy. Now,its warp speed all the way. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha I always wanted a fast life when I was younger....................... be careful what you wish for it might come true! I hate all these daft sayings but part of me knows there may be a little shread of truth there somewhere.

Didnt think this would work
