I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.

What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...

I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose

Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...

We think caged birds sing, when indeed they cry. -John Webster, playwright (c. 1580-1634)

There are two kinds of light -- the glow that illuminates, and the glare that obscures. -James Thurber, writer and cartoonist (1894-1961)

Simon is Janet and Phil's son
There were lots of pictures and I love them but there were reflections on them so I just managed this one.

the rill

(viewed 910 times)
the rill runs from a small pond under the retreat, in front of what looks like a delightful little building but is just a facade - I did say folly didn't I? :)

all the different areas are made with reclaimed materials and most have a story - think he said the bricks were from a demolished building on a now departed friend's allotment. Think he and Janet both worked on the mosaic by the door. The rose is the first plant that was put in the garden when they moved in - not sure he didn't say that his father gave it to them.
