I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.
What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...
I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose
Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...

On my birthday I had 3 friends over and with Helen and under the tuition of Jo whitehead (https://www.facebook.com/Glassprimitif?fref=nf
We made light catchers and coasters. I had bought the kiln off her in 2012 after doing a day's course which I had loved, but due to Alan's illness and death, I had never taken delivery. I decided that My birthday would be a good time. The kiln is very small though max 1 lightcatcher and 2 coasters, also you need to be home for about 5 hours to switch it up and down and you can't do it when your electrician is constantly working on your electrics so progress has been slow, but these are the completed firings, will take a more detailed look later.

I feel privileged to live where I do
and that my children had the freedom to play and explore that these children have.
Not all was good, not all is good but I am grateful for the things that were and the things that are.

The end of an era - have 'improved' my kitchen over the past few years I know but was still based on mfi units H and I built 15+ years ago and it was very make do and mend - no more my friends - though stripping it back to the stone wasn't the plan - it just happened!
The last pic is looking down where the cellar stairs were.
The second pic is the window where the sink was the door is locking access to the hole where the stairs were!
The loose stones are no problem - outside walls all good so that is all that matters they tell me.
