I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.

What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...

I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose

Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...

food for thought...

Everyone, in some small sacred sanctuary of the self, is nuts. -Leo Rosten, author (1908-1997)

We think caged birds sing, when indeed they cry. -John Webster, playwright (c. 1580-1634)

There are two kinds of light -- the glow that illuminates, and the glare that obscures. -James Thurber, writer and cartoonist (1894-1961)

The artist brings something into the world that didn't exist before, and he does it without destroying something else. -John Updike, writer (1932-2009)

Some people become so expert at reading between the lines they don't read the lines. -Margaret Millar, novelist (1915-1994)

There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest. -Elie Wiesel, writer, Nobel laureate (b. 1928)

Tesco queues

(viewed 808 times)
This is one of a series of pics I took when I was very unhappy with Tesco's - I complained and got a £10 card and promise of improvement - I have since heard that there are to be changes at Skipton Tesco as there have been so many complaints.
So if you are not happy complain!

A family weekend - children play

(viewed 1360 times)
Evie and Theo and Reuben on the riverbank.

It was really nice to see the children from the 2 sides of our family playing together and the adults chatting.
And the sun shone too :)

My sister's family camped locally at Appletreewick and Alan's sister's family stayed at the cottage up the lane, we shared time with them separately and on Sunday we had a BBQ together. Had a good time despite the poor weather.

Catch up time! - 7th Aug - My first visit to Wembley

(viewed 462 times)
City's third visit of the season and their only unsuccessful one! Hey that's the way it goes - was an interesting experience, pity City didn't come up to the mark the 3-2 result flattered them and all the goals were at the other end of the field - which makes me really appreciate the position of Alan's (now padded seat) in the centre and at the front of the first tier.
