I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.

What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...

I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose

Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...

Meet Flash the eagle owl.

(viewed 489 times)
Not a lightweight - over 3lbs - but just as docile.

Interesting article about eagle owls in the

...

Meet the tawny owl - I'm afraid I have forgotten her name!

She was also very light (under a pound) - but not very interested in us - just looking around all the time.

Think I'm making noises to attract her attention - it didn't work!

Meet Spud the little owl

Quite beautiful, very small, very light and likes being stroked - but does nibble your finger - it doesn't hurt. Apparently they nibble because their close vision is poor.
The handler is Chris - he was brilliant - we had an hours handling experience at 'Talon Falconry' Ripon. It was fantastic.

Some of Lauren's work

(viewed 455 times)
Not for children this time - but very interesting and I loved the map and the poster - there was a book too illustrated and then added too with handcut figures etc.
