I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.
What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...
I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose
Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...

A bench was chosen in the park off Victoria Embankment. It was refurbished and given a plaque and is now a place to go to remember Irene. Apparently the book-club have had a meeting there :) There is a cherry tree close by that was also planted in her memory and was duly watered by Annie.

Was lovely to share it with Dave (and Diana), who Alan first met on 16th November 1959, when he started work at the Probate Registry in Manchester! We spent many happy times with him and Diana. They introduced us to curry - starting with a chicken madras! That was at the long gone Everest (on Portland Street I think). We saw them married in 1963 - the day my A level results were out:) After we were married and Dave had left Probate we moved away saw very little of them until 1982 - when we had moved to Bristol('81) and the tenancy on the house we had rented ran out and we spent 2 months in a caravan at Brean Sands waiting for completion on our next home. Dave and Diana were then running the P.O. at Churchill. We saw them regularly until we moved up here 27 years ago and I think have only seen them once since! We had a great weekend - Diana said she hadn't laughed so much in years. Musn't leave it so long next time - we might not all make it until our 80's!
