Something like hope

(viewed 847 times)
Dazzle_Dust drove a snow plough out of the Medway towns today to keep her appointment at King's College Hospital, a follow up appointment to the biopsy taken on Monday.

Brain tumours are graded 1-4, the 3s & 4s are the scariest. Dazzle_Dust has a grade 2 brain tumour and will be seeing an Oncologist next month.

We know it's still serious but it's not the worst possible news. I never thought I would be relieved to hear that someone I love has a grade 2 brain tumour. Funny how life turns out. Thanks for all your support mobloggers!

(She didn't really drive a snow plough, she's not allowed to drive any more....Her Dad did!)

A World

*You can kiss your family and friends good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world but a world lives in you.*

Sunrise for Dazzle_Dust

(viewed 1344 times)

*There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.*

Bern Williams

This was how the sunrise looked from my roof terrace this morning. Dazzle_Dust has been staying since Friday. This evening while we were at Bro J's she got a phone call asking her to go in to hospital right away for the biopsy tomorrow. The news so far has not been great, let's hope things get no worse.

Christmas Shopping!

It doesn't do to take Christmas Shopping too seriously. So we played in the fountains... : )

Summer's long gone

I left the sunflowers when their time was finished as a food source for the small birds. I'd like to say they have a strange beauty even in death but in actual fact they're just bloody creepy. I want to put a living Christmas Tree out there so I may well chop them down today...If they don't kill me first...

*Cue spooky music

Another of the Crab Apple trees that do so well around here. This one is somewhere between D's gorgeous golden one and our scarlet one.

The little apples hang on even though the leaves are mostly down now.
