*Feel the rain
like an English summer
Feel the notes from a distant song*

Yesterday morning I had a terrible pain just under my right breast. Turned out the wire in my bra had snapped in half and was jabbing in to me. It was horribly sharp, I'm sure it was trying to at least puncture a lung....
Things have come to a pretty poor bloody pass when even my own underwear hates me!
It wasn't this bra, it was a black see through one. I posted this one because it's funky and I wouldn't want anyone thinking I was sexy...
I am so.... : (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNzLH5k5IHs Thanks to my dear old friend for sending me a blue song...

The ditch in the garden where DD's rope swing hangs from the Oak tree becomes a moat when we have as much rain as we've had lately...

So I groped in the handbag of horrors as they're now calling it, for a pen to lend my Managing Director. Unfortunately, my hand closed round this wizened, mummified carrot. He raised an eyebrow in query.. My colleague did nose fountain with her coffee..
Me: It's in case we see a unicorn on the way home.
MD: Is that what they eat then?
Me: They're mythical animals, they eat anything I want them to eat..
The moment passed..
The carrot was a relic of the vegetable cold war I was engaged in (and bloody well winning) with my neighbour. I have surrendered, unilaterally disarmed... Perhaps we should have a kick about with a swede or something, you know like the WW1 Christmas truce.
Good job the MD fancies me...!
Saturday the Divine Daughter performed a couple of numbers as part of the school choir with the nearest towns choral society and the philharmonic orchestra. It was a paying venue too!! My photos inside the venue weren't good and then I deleted the whole bloody lot by accident because the card reader is playing up. BS managed to rescue a very small number of them including these. DD was miffed because she had to wear school uniform but I thought she looked beautiful and I let her use some of my Chanel No 5. In all of the choir ones their eyes make them look like Demons!
One of the songs they did with the orchestra was the magnificent Coronation anthem *Zadoc the Priest*. As usual BS and I all but fainted with pride.... : )
We changed cars a couple of weeks ago. We got rid of the ancient Rav 4 and got a not quite as ancient Honda CRV. The reason it is so filthy is because we are surrounded by flood water. The sound system in it is very good, the speakers are very gutsy. On the way to meet some friends for lunch out we were listening to this:
