Bluebells in the Surrey Hills and my daughter now 16.
These last few years my family have scattered the ashes of our loved ones in Bluebell woods. It is not a sad time though... We eagerly await the bluebells and email back and forth to each other that they're coming, that they're almost out. It is a time to remember them with love and not with sorrow, my mother and a much loved and missed sister in law. For me it feels like every bluebell wood is a memorial to them and so for these two lovely women these words by Mark Twain...
Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.
Happy 16th Birthday to my Divine Daughter!
Birthday wishes to moblogger EJ too :)
We went to a science festival at the Royal Holloway campus of the University of London

I forgot until this morning and tried to do a photo in the stylee of those shame the pet (usually a dog) pics that are around these days. It's not so easy with cats though :)
Only very rarely do I wish I could knit but I'd like to knit this...
Not my work, neither the photo or the knitting but I wanted to share.
