Another of the high-points of Nagasaki - literally, on this occasion. Interesting old "European" buildings, with great views over Nagasaki - particularly at sunset.

Nagasaki is one of my favourite towns in Japan, and it has a nice little Chinatown, though it was a bit quiet when we went there.

This was my favourite of all the places we stayed on this trip: a lovely little traditional Ryokan.

Piano Circus

...or, at least, their six pianos, as spotted at Bush Hall. Miguel del Aguila's fabulously raunchy Conga Line in Hell was the highlight of their set for me. Steve Reich's Six Pianos came fairly close, but was sadly marred when only five of the pianists finished it at the same time.
