It seems they decided to hide the mermaids' boobs on their logo when
Starbucks began taking over the world.

We went to the most stereotypically American bar ever on Friday night.
It was called Cowgirls and is in downtown Seattle. Not only did it have
the barmaids dancing on the bar a la Coyote Ugly, and people line
dancing on the dance floor, but it also had this mechanical bull so we
could see drunkards getting flung about for our amusement. This is
Heathers attempt at bull riding. She did pretty well as it goes.
The pub itself was a bit of a meat market though. It was free for girls
to get in, and they got half price drinks for most of the night (so with
Heather in tow it meant beers only cost around $6 for the three of us).
I spent the weekend in Seattle taking advantage of the very low US$ this weekend. It was a great trip. Here's the first of possibly way too many photos of the Space Needle near the city centre.
I got free tickets to the football last week. It was the Vancouver Whitecaps against David Beckham... whoops... I mean LA galaxy. It was weird on several levels. Firstly the crowd was utterly silent throughout, except when a streaker did a lap of the field. The crowd did also cheer every time Beckham had the ball, which must have been quite off putting. The score was 0-0, and Beckham seemed a bit rubbish (as did all the other players), but it was a good night out. Incidentally all of my photos were blurry and crap.
