Manchester International Festival hoardings have reached inner city Liverpool. I don't buy the idea that there's cultural city rivalry. People I know are travelling from here to see shows. Not Rufus though.
Starr Fields football pitch. Grief stumbled upon. This young man collapsed playing football sometime in the last couple of days. The woman in the shot is his mum - you'll understand why I didn't press for details or shoot closer. The impromptu renaming of the field is an interesting counterpoint to yesterday's memorialising of all things prosaic at Procession. I may sit down and have a little weep now.
Pubs and clubs of Manchester now lost to posterity. The lady in the yellow hat is called Jo. She remembered the lot!
