Well, today I went shopping in the East End (20 or so years ago that is where I lived) .... things have changed somewhat ..... I have found that if there is someone with me who is camera aware then even I will take some pics .... sorry to say that mine were very limited .... so only shots of the the first stop off ....after that I was just too taken up with chat etc ....

No. 1 ... loved that cat ....
No.2 .... arriving at Queen's .... it is so over the top kitsch, I love it ....
No.3 .... For Sprocket .... it is sooo Kylie! .....
No.4 .... Fairy Goth Mother's ..... It was just what any middleclass goth needs for weddings, funerals, school proms or everyday wear .....
No.5 ..... A little chubby cherub butler .... oh my, if only I had �£89.99 and a sense of good taste bypass ....

great day out ..... and I am getting there ...... slowly .....

mmmm, the comments on No.4 should go with No.5 and vice versa .... not sure how that happened .... and there is that pound sign symbol thingy again .....

But the wonderful Dhamaka,
Well, she can really dance ....

She tangos with the best of them
and even with our Nige ...
(He's such a lovely gentleman,
if asked, he will oblige) ...

So had she been at our last gig,
I'm sure she would have wowed
With a spectacular gancho,
That's bound to hook the crowd ....

In response to Dhamaka's comment that tango dance would not, necessarily, be out of place at last Friday's gig. :-)

Dropped into the gig last night .... it was really good .... a vey diverse
crowd as you can see from the pics .....

1. With Tim and Jenny (Alex's parents), the beads I am wearing are a set of Alex's that Jenny gave me to remember him by :)

2. On arrival, stopping to say hello to Jon and Dominic, two lovely lads, Dominic did an awful lot to help Alex when he was ill, nothing was ever too much trouble ...... :)

3,4 and 5. Some crowd piccies ... this was early on, the crowd swelled after the pubs had closed ....

Blatent Gig blogging ......

The running total for The Elimination of Leukaemia Fund's project to help King's College Hospital with fridges, laptops TVs etc for the rooms of people with cancer of the blood now stands at �£20,000 ........ of course the fund raising continues ..... The gig in memory of Alex at The Venue, New Cross, South London on Friday 23rd February ......
