Don't see many of those around here...I love the fact that it's about 3
feet too long for a British parking space

270 miles in 9 days...

(viewed 1278 times)
As some of you will know, I lost my Dad earlier this year to cancer.
So my younger brother Tom (pictured left) has decided to attempt to
walk the entire length of the pennine way (268 miles) in 9 days, in
honour of Dad and for cancer research.

Now anyone who knows anything about british geography and/or
hillwalking, will be aware that this is no mean feat (it would normally
take between 14 and 16 days). He'll be wearing a 15kilo pack and
camping when/wherever he stops.

Tom will be moblogging his journey, and you'll be able to keep up with
his attempt at http://moblog.co.uk/blog/cheeks
/>
We'd all really appreciate it, if you could spare a little sponsorship
money (100% of it goes to Cancer Research UK). Any amount would mean a
lot.
You can donate at justgiving.com

Good luck Tom,
we know that you'll breeze it.

after many many arduous days with no internets, i am back online....it
was a terrible time, I have survived purely through beer, and the
bandwidth generosity of friends and family...and on several occasions, strangers with unsecured wireless networks :)
