It's the build up season, which means it's bloody hot. The roads to the Kimberley could be closed for months on end with the onset of monsoon rain that could happen any week from now on, so although the tourists have disappeared, many trucks are stocking communities along the Gibb River and other places where there is no bitumen roads.
Kimberley Aboriginals always talk about the emu located in the winter milky way. I always thought that they had a very good imagination and it wasnt until I processed this image that it stuck out.

Cyclone Rusty passed a few hundred km's of south of Broome. This combined with a big tides and strong winds whipped up the seas. Processed using snapseed.
