Cabbage, chard and spinach have been about the only successes this year, but the others won't eat much of it. Have tried blanching and freezing some for later, in order to free up the bed for late summer stuff (sweet corn, etc.)
this lot was over-wintered. Same old same old, loads of top growth, tiny roots
I haven't posted for a while. The veggies have been doing great, spent some time outside last night pottering.
Before I could take pics, a bee decided to fight back.
A bit of a scare, four hours in casualty, shedloads of piriton and steroids later, I can now declare gardening a dangerous pursuit.
Normal service will be restored when I get my nerve back

I obviously didn't clear the bed stringently enough, blummin' bulbs are springing up everywhere
Bought-in seedlings from Plants by Post, potted on as soon as they arrived.
Tumbler tomatoes, Shirley tomatoes and assorted chilli peppers.
