It is my moblog's birthday. It will be buying the drinks later...
Gatekeeper butterflies on Teazels. I didn't know before Sunday that teazels had little purple blossoms. I've never seen so many butterflies before as I have this summer.
I couldn't find much on cow parsley from my language of flowers sources but I did find it associated with the word festivity....
LadyBird says she grew up calling it *Lady's Lace* but I said no, no, no, ladies lace is something different. She says it doesn't matter what ladies lace actually is or looks like, the truth is that she grew up calling this stuff ladies lace... How can I argue with that!
Edit: Oh and although she can never remember writing it down or reading it, apparently I've spelt it wrong. It should of course be Lady's Lace. Excuse me while I go stand in the corner with my apron over my face.....
The thistle is another flower that has multiple meanings in the language of flowers depending on where you look. I have settled for *retaliation*.
Oh God, I feel like something from Tales from the Crypt this morning. If I had a gun I'd shoot myself... :(
I looked at another source for a language of flowers meaning for teazels and found *misanthropy*.
I found several meanings for daisies but for wild daisies, as these are I found *I will think of it*. I like that! Maybe because I think of it most of the time especially in the hot weather. Perhaps I am solar powered......
I hope you're reading this....
