Personal Favourites from my moblog

"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

Traffic II: Play 'n' Spray

We were leaving Kohler's Point this evening, when we had to stop for three baby skunks. Mom was hanging in the clover, while the 3 babes were gambolling on the road.

They kept us and another car at bay for a good 15 minutes or so. We were laughing so hard, it's close to a miracle we got any shots. They thought we were trying to play, so if you moved the car, they turned and started running right for you. Then they'd turn and run the other way. They ran, played and sprayed all over the place and were absolutely adorable while doing it. Eventually, they found their way back to mom and headed out into the fields and we were allowed to go on our way. :D

ETA: I did get out of the car to shoot, but had to keep ducking back in, because every time they saw me, they ran for me.
