"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

or, Library in a Bin. Dolly was pestering me, as I promised the girls a walk today. It's hot, so I decided to walk them to the schoolyard and back. Indulging my nosiness, I checked the dumpster to see what they were throwing away now. Books! The whole of Almont's School library is sitting in the trash. Naturally, the looting commenced. Rick's over there now, continuing the looting.

The Young Traveler in New Zealand by Hilda M. Harrop [1954] is a first edition. I haven't checked all the others yet. Got tons of 1960s sci-fi, in hardcover no less.

ETA: Stars of Stars edited by Frederik Pohl [1960], is also a first edition. *happy dance goin' on*

They are stalwart; doesn't take them long to get going again after a rain.

This is the guy the Wrongway's kept scaring off yesterday.

Well, do ya? One of the Wrongway clan, being entertaining as usual. Also, one who is apparently adding to the vast numbers of Wrongways.
