Personal Favourites from my moblog

"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

This Is Winter

and I'm loving it! We aren't buried in snow. There's almost no snow. It was 42F today and I was wearing shorts when I filled the bird feeder. Oh, I wish, I wish it would stay this way.

Decorations: Today's Cephalopods

Got six more sculpted yesterday and painted today. I am having fun. :D

Decorations: Painted Cephalopods

The cephalopods are painted! I think I might make more. :D

Decorations: Stage 1

We decided to get a little fake tree this year and got a bargain, two little fake trees for the price of one. More to decorate!

First, ribbon instead of tinsel. Second, sculpting* cephalopods. When they are dry, the painting will commence.

Then, hanging stuff all over the trees. Fun all the way around.

*A sculptor I most definitely am not. Rick did the squid & octopus.

Letting the Dogs Out

Finally got the monster dogs out for a bit of play out to Rattlesnake Point.

A New Rat Tale

(viewed 1186 times)
We're waiting on two female rats, but it could be a very long wait. When in town today, we stopped by KT's and saw a baby boy rat, all of 8 weeks old, who looks remarkably like Chas, right to the white streak on the nose. On top of that, he had the most adorable monster ears and he's odd-eyed, one black eye and one ruby eye. So...he came home with us.

His name is Rubin and both Chas and Esme were happy to welcome him in. Esme in particular is happy, she now has someone else to bully and Rubin, being all of a month younger than her, has equal energy. He's doing well for being in the studio for less than a day and has all manner of fun exploring and wrestling with Esme.
